The phenomena of globalisation in Polish consumers’ food choices

Purpose – To identify and characterise the phenomena of globalisation in food choices Polish consumers. demographic, economic social determinants influencing level globalization dietary Poles, as well to recognise most important factors determining consumers’ choices. Research method Direct surveys among 660 respondents using quantitative methods were used. The collected data was analysed factor analysis (the main component method), Cronbach’s alphafactor, structured logit models, Pearson’s χ2 Cramer’s V coefficients, descriptive statistics structure indicators. Results phenomenon is clearly visible nutritional Poles. Its impact manifested primarily purchase fast bars products international trade chains; however, it should be noted that this concerns younger generation (under 25), with higher education, people assessing their income situation very good. Implications / recommendations Because fashion for healthy, plant-based nutrition, can assumed today’s consumers are looking a alternative will allow them reduce time takes prepare meals clean up afterwards, while maintaining health. There may growing demand offering healthy from proven source. Moreover, due increasingly prevalent demands antiglobalists coronavirus crisis, ethnocentrism deconsumption consumer behaviour emerge trends and, such, they merit further investigation.
